Here we give you our story, our ethos and general information about the Isaac Balami Foundation.
Our Story
Isaac Balami Foundation is a registered entity with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has been in operation since her registration in April 2012. Driven by the passion of her founder, Isaac Balami who was born and raised in the North Eastern part of Nigeria, a region ravaged by the dastardly acts of Boko Haram. Balami, an indigene of Borno state rose from a humble beginning where he sponsored himself through school by doing menial jobs like farming for neighbours and working on construction sites till he got a scholarship that saw him become one of the leading and famous aviators in Nigeria;
as the former President of the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers to establishing a leading aircraft maintenance hangar in west and central Africa.
Having experienced the impact of abject poverty first hand, he vowed to commit over 50% of his entire income to supporting vulnerable families, children, youths and communities to escape most of the pains he experienced. This decision gave birth to Isaac Balami Foundation (IBF).
The foundation has played key roles in fostering significant improvements in the standard of living of many homeless and orphaned children in Nigeria irrespective of sex, tribe, religion or ethnicity. Over the years the foundation has committed to paying the tuition fees of over 400 children and numerous other community outreach programs through its two-pronged strategies.
Currently, the board and the management of the foundation are restructuring to open up the foundation to the public to join Engr. Isaac Balami in funding the growing needs of children, youths and communities across Nigeria.
