Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management (IBUAM), Africa’s first university dedicated to aeronautics and management, is set to open its admissions for the 2025/2026 Academic Session September, 2025. IBUAM offers more than just a degree; we provide a launchpad for your career by blending world-class academics with immersive, hands-on training in aviation, technology, and business.
At IBUAM, you’ll gain practical experience using real Aircraft, Aircraft Simulators, and Advanced Laboratories. Our programs are fully approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Our Academic Offerings:
Faculty of Management: B.Sc. in Aviation Management and B.Sc. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
Faculty of Computing and Engineering: B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, and Systems Engineering, as well as B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Eng. Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Software Engineering.
An All-Inclusive Educational Experience:
Your tuition at IBUAM covers everything you need to succeed, including degree courses, ground school, and flight school. All IBUAM graduates will obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL), preparing you for a career in the skies.

Beyond the Degree:
Our curriculum is designed to give you a significant competitive advantage. Students benefit from unique opportunities such as accumulating 1,000 hours of live aircraft logging. All graduates from the Faculty of Computing and Engineering will obtain Competency in Advanced Digital & Simulation Technologies from industry giants like Boeing, Airbus, and Rolls-Royce. Additionally, all Aerospace Engineering graduates will receive a Manufacturer Aircraft Type Rating with two options each for Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing aircraft (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Gulfstream, Bell Helicopters, Augusta, Sikorsky).
